This is Oxford Rye Whisky, Batch 3, from Oxford Artisan Distillery. It was distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2021 at 51.2% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was founded by Tom Nicolson and Tagore Ramoutar, who set out to be the first organically certified grain-to-glass spirit producer in the United Kingdom. Its stills are named Nautilus and Nemo, after Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. The nose is floral and herbal, with banana smoothie, stone fruits and marzipan. Honey and apricot lead the palate, and the finish brings butterscotch, mint and smoke.
