Padre Azul Reposado (70cl)

Padre Azul Reposado is a hand-made tequila matured in hand-selected bourbon oak casks, which add light notes of vanilla, chocolate, caramelised nuts and cinnamon. It is made from blue agave grown for eight to ten years, steamed for 24 to 48 hours in masonry ovens and fermented for 72 to 96 hours. The bottle is blown by hand and wrapped in leather, laced at the back as a nod to Mexican Lucha Libre wrestling masks. It is closed with a 270 gram solid metal skull stopper, a reference to the Dia de los Muertos. The nose combines cooked agave and fruit, including pear, banana and orange, with vanilla, caramel, coconut and white chocolate from the cask. On the palate, fruit, vanilla and cooked agave come together smoothly.
