Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve Rye 13 Year 2006 (75cl)

This is a 13 year old Kentucky straight rye whiskey from the Van Winkle family programme, from the 2006 release, in a 75cl bottle. It was produced at the Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. It is made from a high-rye mashbill, and the rye character shows in spice, dried fruit and oak. After 13 years in the barrel, the natural assertiveness of the rye has been moderated but not lost.
