Van Winkle Family Reserve Rye is a 13 year old Kentucky straight rye whiskey from the Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery in Frankfort, in a 750ml bottle. This is the 2015 vintage. It sits in the Van Winkle family range of Pappy Rye bottlings. Whisky in this range can be older than 13 years, but every bottle carries the 13 year age statement. The character is described as grain-forward, with the natural spice and dried fruit of rye softened by more than a decade in barrel.
