Van Winkle Family Reserve Rye is a 13-year-old Kentucky straight rye whiskey from the Van Winkle family programme, produced at Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. This is the 2007 release, in a 750ml bottle.
After 13 years of barrel maturation it shows the natural spice and dried fruit of the rye grain, with assertive rye spice integrating with extended time in oak.
