Patrón Gran Burdeos is an añejo tequila made from 100% Weber Blue Agave at the distillery in Atotonilco El Alto, in the Highlands of Jalisco. The agave is roasted and twice distilled, then rested for at least 12 months in used American oak and new French oak.
What sets it apart is a third distillation after ageing, followed by a finish in vintage Bordeaux wine barrels.
Oak and vanilla meet dried cherries, apricot and honeyed sweetness on the nose. The palate is velvety, with dark stone fruit, toasted oak, caramel, baking spices and dark chocolate. The finish is medium, slightly sweet and then drying, with oak and red berries.
