Paul John – Brilliance Indian Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Paul John Brilliance is an Indian single malt whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46% vol. It is made from Indian barley grown in the Himalayan region and matured in ex-bourbon casks. The distillery lies in the south of India and works along Scottish lines. Vanilla and caramel run through the aroma and flavour, alongside fine fruit. The nose is sweet, with cocoa beans, vanilla, tropical fruit and a touch of mint. On the palate it is full-bodied, with nougat, cinnamon, fresh herbs and vanilla. The finish is medium in length and bittersweet, with dark chocolate.
