Paul John Peated is an Indian single malt whisky from the Paul John Distillery in Goa, bottled at 55.5% ABV.
It is distilled in copper pot stills and matured in Goa's humid climate. The peat used is imported from Islay.
Tasting notes describe a nose of bonfire smoke with honeycomb, cinnamon bark and sea mist. The palate is rich and layered, with smoked caramel, burnt orange, charred oak and molasses. The finish is long, peaty and slightly sweet, with spice and coastal salt.
