Peated Highland 22 Years Old Watt Whisky (70cl, 54%)

This is an independent 22-year-old peated Highland single malt from Watt Whisky, thought to be from either Ben Nevis or Ardmore. It is bottled at 54% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2000 and matured in a sherry hogshead before bottling in 2023. The outturn was 294 bottles. The nose has raisins, earthy peat smoke, an old warehouse and vegetation. The palate combines sherry maturation with peat, showing raisins, black cherries, plums, cedar and dried meat. The finish is long and rather dry.
