This is a 30 year old single malt from Pittyvaich, distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 52%, in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to Gordon & Macphail's Connoisseurs Choice range, and the whisky matured in a refill bourbon barrel.
The nose combines fresh peanuts, lemon peel and freshly cut grass, with ripe green apple, guava and dried banana. On the palate, lime zest meets milk chocolate and desiccated coconut, with sweet fruit sorbet, guava and soft pepper. The finish is medium in body, with toasted almonds and lingering spice.
