A 45 year old unpeated single malt from Islay's northernmost distillery, distilled on Hogmanay in 1968. It was matured in five refill sherry butts and is bottled at 40.8% ABV.
The nose is fruity, with apples, pears, papaya and mango, alongside lemon pith, sea air, woodsmoke and fresh tar. The palate offers bittersweet oranges, mango and warming spice, set against mint and green tea. In the finish the fruit fades to leafy herbs that turn warm and minty.
