PMC:01 is the sixth expression in Port Charlotte's Cask Exploration Series, a peated single malt in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky spent the second half of its maturation in Pomerol casks, from the famous wine region on the right bank of the Gironde.
That time in wine wood adds rich fruity and woody notes, which sit alongside the peaty, maritime character of Islay whisky.
