Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2012 is a heavily peated single malt distilled in 2012 from barley grown on Islay.
The barley was the 2011 crop, harvested over a stormy summer by eight Islay farms, each of which had worked with the distillery before. The whisky was distilled, matured and bottled on the island, using barley raised there too, which ties it closely to the community that grew the grain.
