Port Charlotte SYC:01 is a 10-year-old Islay single malt from the Cask Exploration Series, in a 70cl bottle. It spent its final five years of maturation in casks that previously held Syrah red wine.
The barley was harvested in Scotland in 2013 and peated to 40 ppm. The European oak brings strong red fruit and spice notes, adding depth and complexity to the heavily peated spirit.
