Port Dundas 18 Year Old is a single grain whisky from the Glasgow distillery of that name, which has since closed. Douglas Laing bottled it in its Old Particular range at 48.4%, in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in July 2004 and matured for 18 years in a PX sherry butt, cask number DL18106. It was bottled in June 2023, and the cask produced 452 bottles. The nose is rich, with a spiced grain background, a bag of toffees and late-ripened dark fruit. On the palate the same piquant style warms into syrup, honeycomb and crème brûlée sugar. The finish brings boozy vanilla ice cream, then molasses and a closing blend of everything before it.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
