A 40 year old single grain whisky from the Port Dundas distillery in Glasgow, distilled in 1978 and bottled in December 2018 at 58.7% ABV. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
It matured in a single refill hogshead and was released by Douglas Laing in the Xtra Old Particular series. Port Dundas stopped production after its owner announced its closure in 2009.
The nose is sweet and spicy, with spun sugar, cinnamon and oak spice. On the palate there are sherbet lemons, vanilla and sweet cereal.
