A 30 year old Port Ellen, distilled in May 1979 and bottled in October 2009 by Douglas Laing for its Old & Rare Platinum Selection series. It was drawn from an ex-sherry cask and bottled at cask strength, 52.1% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The outturn was 190 bottles, each in a wooden box. The Port Ellen distillery on Islay was closed in 1983.
