This is a 24 year old Port Ellen, distilled in 1982 and bottled in 2007 by John Milroy for The John Milroy Selection. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV.
The whisky matured in an ex-sherry butt before bottling. Port Ellen on Islay was founded in 1825 and closed for good in 1983, so a bottle distilled in 1982 dates from one of the last years of production.
