A single cask Speyside single malt, distilled in 1966 and bottled in 2008 at 41 years old by Douglas Laing for their Old Malt Cask series. The casks are widely understood to have come from Glenfarclas. This one, cask 4191, was a sherry butt that yielded 326 bottles. It was bottled at 50%, the strength Douglas Laing prefers for the series, without colouring or chill filtration, in a 70cl bottle. Douglas Laing bottled around three dozen Glenfarclas sherry casks from the 1960s between 2006 and 2018.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
