RA Jamaica HD 1993 2022 29 Year Old Hampden Distillery (50cl, 63.5%)

A Jamaican aged rum from Hampden Distillery, distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2022 after 29 years of ageing, mostly under continental climate conditions in an American white oak cask. It is a single cask release bottled at 63.5% ABV in a 500 ml bottle, limited to 168 bottles worldwide. It has a high ester level of 1300 to 1400 gr/hlpa. The nose shows ester notes, grilled pineapple and overripe banana, becoming more present after resting. The palate brings ripe banana and pineapple with a little wood.
