Raasay – Single Cask #19/258 Na Sia Single Cask Series is a whisky from Raasay (Islands). Bottled at 62.7% ABV, 70cl. R&B Distillers received planning permission for the first legal distillery on the Isle of Raasay in early 2016 and they also plan a second site in the village of Peebles in the Scottish Borders. This was where co-founder Alasdair Day’s ancestors blended whisky in a grocer’s shop. In anticipation of the distillery’s first whisky release in 2020, R&B produced a peated Highland single malt in 2015 called Raasay While We Wait in suggestion of the type of whisky they aimed to produce; a fruity and lightly peated malt. Two Isle of Raasay spirits – peated and unpeated – are matured separately in first fill Rye whiskey, fresh Chinkapin oak and first fill Bordeaux red wine casks.
