Rabbit Hole Mizunara Founder's Collection is a 15 year old Kentucky straight bourbon, finished in Japanese Mizunara oak casks and bottled at cask strength, 57.1% (114.2 proof), unfiltered, in a 750ml bottle. It comes from Rabbit Hole Distillery in Louisville and belongs to the Founder's Collection.
Production was 1,403 individually numbered bottles. Mizunara is described as slow growing and difficult to cooper, and it brings sandalwood, incense, coconut and spice.
The nose combines caramel, vanilla and dark cherry with sandalwood, incense and exotic spice. The palate has dark toffee, dried stone fruits, cinnamon and roasted oak, with a building spice from the Mizunara.
