Rampur Asava is an Indian single malt bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in American bourbon barrels and then perfected in Indian Cabernet Sauvignon casks, bringing red wine character to Rampur's style.
The nose shows the tropical fruit typical of Rampur with apricot, blackberry and plum, then a faint hint of tobacco and spices. The palate is velvety, with manuka honey sweetness, spicy oak and vanilla, balanced by dryness from the red wine. The finish is medium.
