Rampur Double Cask Indian Single Malt Whisky (75cl, 45%)

Rampur Double Cask is an Indian single malt from Rampur Distillery in Uttar Pradesh, distilled in copper pot stills from Indian barley and bottled at 45% in a 75cl bottle. The malt is matured in American bourbon barrels and European oak sherry casks, in a split of two-thirds bourbon to one-third sherry. The two are married before bottling, and the whisky is not chill-filtered. The nose is full-bodied, with tropical fruit, smooth malt and oak. On the palate, sweet fruit rides on rich sherry, with vanilla from the bourbon side and caramel, dried dark fruit and spice from the sherry. The finish is long and generous.
