Rampur Asava is an Indian single malt whisky, bottled at 45% abv in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in American bourbon barrels and then finished in Indian Cabernet Sauvignon casks, a first for the distillery.
The nose has Rampur's tropical fruit character with apricot, blackberry and plum, then a faint hint of tobacco and spice. The palate is velvety, with manuka honey sweetness, spicy oak and vanilla, balanced by dryness from the red wine. The finish is of medium length.
