Rampur – Jugalbandi #1 Cask Strength Single Malt (70cl, 56.1%)

Rampur Jugalbandi #1 is a cask strength Indian single malt, bottled at 56.1% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in American bourbon barrels in the north Indian climate, then finished in bespoke Moscatel casks from Portugal. The name refers to reciprocity, and the finish adds sweetness and spice to the Rampur character. The nose is fruity, with lychee, mango and a hint of banana. On the palate, sweet vanilla from first-fill bourbon is followed by zesty, floral spice from the muscatel cask, with a creamy mouthfeel. The finish is long and sweet.
