Rampur Jugalbandi #1 Cask Strength Single Malt (70cl, 56.1%)

Rampur Jugalbandi #1 is a cask strength Indian single malt, bottled at 56.1% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in American bourbon barrels in the climate of north India, then finished in bespoke Moscatel casks from Portugal. The finish was chosen to set sweetness against complex spice, with aromas of raisin, dried plum and grapefruit. First-fill bourbon casks add sweet vanilla to the palate. The nose is fruity, with lychee, mango and a hint of banana. On the palate it is sweet and creamy, with zesty, floral and spicy notes from the Moscatel that linger on.
