Rampur Jugalbandi #2 is a cask strength Indian single malt at 56.3% abv, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is matured in American bourbon barrels in the north Indian climate, then finished in handpicked Calvados casks from Normandy, France.
The Calvados finish adds a baked apple aroma, along with pear and a hint of apricot and honey.
The nose is sweet and spicy with malt, lychee, mango and a hint of banana. On the palate come dried apple, apricots and raisins, and the finish is long.
