Rampur Jugalbandi #6 is an Indian whisky bottled at 55.8% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in American bourbon barrels and finished in Madeira casks, and the name refers to the interplay of the two.
The nose is tropical, with lychee, peach, apricot and mango alongside caramelised pineapple, roasted pecan, shortbread and a touch of cinnamon.
Smooth vanilla leads on the palate into fruity, floral and gently spiced notes, with dates, plum and dark chocolate from the Madeira. The finish is warm and lingering.
