Rampur Jugalbandi No. 5 is an Indian single malt in a 70cl bottle at 55.8% ABV.
It was matured first in American bourbon barrels and then in Tokaji wine casks, and the two are described as playing off one another.
The nose offers apricot, peach, ripe mango, lychee and pear, with caramel, roasted almond, gingerbread, vanilla, honey and a touch of chocolate. The palate is creamy and sweet with honey, caramel, vanilla and chocolate, kept in balance by a thread of oaky bitterness. The finish is long and warm.
