Rampur Sangam is an Indian world malt whisky in a 700ml bottle at 43% abv. It brings together malts to combine fruity, floral and spicy notes from the east with sweeter aromas and a subtle smokiness from the west.
The nose offers lychee, green apple, pear and apricot, then citrus, rose and heather, with honey, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon and nutmeg, and a little salt and peat. The palate is creamy and fruity, balanced by gentle peat and salt, with peat smoke giving way to cinnamon, nutmeg, oaky vanilla and a hint of honey. The finish is pleasantly long.
