Sangam World Malt Whisky is a 43% ABV malt from Rampur Distillery in Uttar Pradesh, India, in a 70cl bottle. Rampur describes it as a mélange of malts, combining fruity, floral and spicy notes from the east with sweet aromas and subtle smokiness from the west.
It has a light gold colour.
The nose opens with lychee, green apple, pear and apricot, then moves to citrus, rose, heather, honeyed vanilla, caramel and spice. The palate is creamy and layered, with fruit set against salt, peat smoke, oaky vanilla and honey, and a wine-like texture. The finish is pleasantly long.
