Redbreast – 12 Years Cask Strength

An Irish single pot still whiskey from Redbreast, aged 12 years and bottled at cask strength, with no water added. It is made by the pot still method, a style Redbreast has kept to for the last century. The name comes from the robin redbreast, which stays in Ireland and sings through the dark winters. The nose is of dried fruit, sherry peel, thyme honey, old oak and sweet tobacco, with figs, dates, banana, lime and apple. The palate has deep dried fruit, a touch of citrus, spice, vanilla sweetness and toasted oak. The finish is very long, with spice, fruit and sweet caramel.
