Redbreast – 27 Year Old (70cl, 54.6%)

Redbreast 27 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whisky at 54.6% in a 70cl bottle, and the oldest permanent release in the Redbreast family. It is made entirely from triple-distilled pot still whiskey, matured for at least 27 years in bourbon, sherry and ruby port casks. The ruby port casks add vitality and complexity, along with an intense red berry fruit character. The nose offers orange peel, pine cone, vanilla and walnut. On the palate come raspberry, cherry, plums and toasted spices, leading to a late finish of pepper, a hint of chilli oil and menthol.
