Redbreast – Lustau Edition Irish Whiskey (70cl, 46%)

Redbreast Lustau Edition is an Irish whiskey from the Redbreast distillery, which since moving from Dublin has been based in Cork. It is matured for between nine and twelve years in bourbon and sherry casks, then spends a further year in first-fill sherry casks from Lustau. The edition grew out of a long friendship between the two brands. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The colour is gold. The nose is spicy, with sweet sherry, dried fruit and oak. The palate is fine and varied, with sweet sherry, dark fruit and oak. The finish is long and lightly sweet.
