Redbreast – Lustau Sherry Finish (70cl, 46%)

This is a pot still Irish whisky from Redbreast, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle without an age statement. It is non-peated. The whisky is matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, then finished in Lustau sherry casks, which add the richness of oloroso sherry alongside fresh oak. The nose offers dark fruits, prunes, dates and figs with liquorice, marzipan and toasted oak. The palate is creamy, with pot still spice balanced by sherry. The finish is long and sweet, ending on oloroso sherry and Spanish oak.
