This is Batch 2 of Reservoir Rye Whiskey, a 2022 release bottled at 50% ABV. Reservoir was founded in Richmond, Virginia, in 2008 by childhood friends Jay Carpenter and Dave Cuttino. The whiskey is made from a mash of 100% rye, which the distillery points to as the highest rye content among the many high-rye whiskeys on the market. The rye is grown near Richmond. It is described as intense and sharply spiced, with a profile that stays on the dry side rather than sweet.
