Retribution Distilling – PR007 Peated PX Octave Single Malt English Whisky (70cl, 52%)

Retribution Distilling PR007 is the Somerset distillery's seventh release, an English single malt matured in Pedro Ximénez octaves that previously held peated Inchfad from Loch Lomond Distillery. It is the first time the distillery has filled octaves of this kind. The spirit was distilled in July 2023 and filled into cask on 23 August 2023. It was bottled on 6 October 2026 at 52%, in a batch of 162 bottles. The nose offers Pedro Ximénez sherry, dark dried fruit, a hint of smoke and burnt leather. Dark dried fruit, gentle smoke and a subtle PX sweetness follow on the palate, and the finish is warming, with the smoke lingering.
