This is a Vermut Bianco di Torino in the Extra Dry style from Riserva Carlo Alberto. It starts from two Piedmontese wines, Erbaluce di Caluso DOCG and Moscato d'Asti DOCG, combined with 25 botanicals that are selected and worked by hand.
It is pale straw in colour. The nose is intense and lasting, with fine spices, medicinal herbs and citrus, and vanilla, cinnamon and bitter orange standing out. The palate is soft and round, with long aromatic returns and a bitter finish.
It can be served neat or over ice with a twist of orange peel, and works in cocktails, notably alongside London Dry gin.
