River Roots 12 Year Old Single Barrel 'Guardian IV' is an Indiana straight bourbon from release XR-B-D27, a distillery exclusive bottled at 56.2% (112.4 proof) in a 75cl bottle. Every bottle comes from one oak barrel, with no blending and no proofing down. The mash bill is 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley, and the whisky is 12 years old. The nose offers vanilla custard, oak, pineapple and other tropical fruit, and citrus. The palate brings creamy vanilla custard, oak and a bright citrus soda note. Nose and palate follow each other closely, with a round, approachable mouthfeel.
