Rock Island is a small batch blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing, released as the Global Traveller's Edition in a 1 litre bottle at 48%. It includes malts distilled on Orkney, Arran, Jura and Islay. It carries no added colouring and is non-chill-filtered.
The nose is of sea-washed rocks with a fresh, salty ocean influence. The palate is subtle, with gentle, slightly sweet peat alongside smoke, honey, damp ash, liquorice and black pepper.
The finish echoes the palate faithfully.
