Palo Cortado sherry finish
This is an 18 year old Highland single malt from Royal Brackla, finished in Palo Cortado sherry casks. It is bottled at 46% without chill-filtration or added colouring. The distillery was founded in 1833 by Captain William Fraser and was the first in Scotland to be granted the Royal title, by King William IV. The whisky matures first in oak, then takes its finish in Palo Cortado casks, a sherry style that sits between Amontillado and Oloroso. The nose is ripe oranges, dark raisins and roasted coffee with vanilla and caramel. The palate brings plums, cherries, rum-soaked raisins, gingerbread spice and dark chocolate. The finish is long, fruity and lightly spiced.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
