The whisky spends 18 years in Bourbon oak barrels before being finished in Spanish sherry-seasoned oak casks. It is bottled without chill filtration.
The nose combines baked apple, toffee, dried fruit, warm spice and a hint of pecan, with soft sherry sweetness and oak. The palate brings honeyed caramel, sultanas, walnut, citrus peel and gentle cinnamon, moving into dark chocolate and toasted oak. The finish is long, with dried fruit, sweet oak, spice and malt.
