This is a 25 year old Highland single malt from Royal Brackla, bottled at 46% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The whisky was matured in first-fill bourbon barrels and then finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. Royal Brackla was the first distillery to receive a Royal Warrant, in 1833.
The nose offers dried fruit, vanilla, honey and subtle oak. On the palate come dark chocolate, ripe figs and creamy toffee, with toasted almonds and gentle spice. The finish is long and velvety, with lingering warmth and a hint of wood smoke.
