Royal Brackla – 7 Year Old 2018/2025 Fresh PX Sherry Cask (Claxton's Exploration Series) (70cl, 50%)

This is a seven-year-old Highland single malt from Royal Brackla, released in the Claxton's Exploration Series. It was distilled in June 2018 and matured for its whole life in a first fill Pedro Ximenez sherry hogshead, then bottled in 2025 at 50% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, and the minimalist label carries the geographical coordinates of the distillery. The nose brings raisins, ripe plums and roasted nuts. On the palate there is dark chocolate, dried fruit, cinnamon and clove. The finish is long and warm, with sherry, dark sweetness and spicy oak.
