A Royal Brackla single malt, eight years old, in a 350ml bottle at 56.9% ABV.
It matured fully in a French red wine cask from a Premier Cru Chateau, and the colour is deep gold with faint ruby tones.
The nose brings dark berries, blackberries and raspberries with black tea, soft wood spice, light caramel and a hint of dried herbs. The palate is powerful yet velvety, with cherry and plum, fine oak, a trace of dark chocolate, gentle tannins and mild honey and vanilla sweetness. The finish is long and warming, dry, with red fruit and a light peppery note.
