This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from Royal Lochnagar, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is amber in colour and medium-bodied, with a smooth mouthfeel.
The nose is fairly closed, with planed wood, light toffee and boat varnish, and a little lychee-like acidity. Water sweetens it and brings out fresh wood and leather.
The palate is sweet at first, with fruit, wood and toffee, before turning more acidic. The finish is dry and medium in length, with a lingering sandalwood note.
