This is a 21-year-old Scotch blend from Royal Salute, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the second edition made in partnership with designer Richard Quinn, who co-blended it with Master Blender Sandy Hyslop at Strathisla Distillery. Whiskies from Braeval, Strathisla and Caperdonich were selected to reflect Richard's personal palate.
The nose offers mango and banana with vanilla fudge, cinnamon and roasted chestnuts. The palate is rich and fruity, with strawberry jam, pear, peach and honey blossom, balanced by oak spice and a little sweet smoke. The finish is smooth, with a lingering trace of smoke.
