Royal Salute 21 Year Old The Richard Quinn Edition II (70cl, 40%)

This is a 21 year old blended Scotch whisky from Royal Salute, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the second edition from the fashion collaboration with designer Richard Quinn. Quinn visited Strathisla Distillery to co-blend with Master Blender Sandy Hyslop. They selected 21 year old whiskies from Braeval, Strathisla and Caperdonich, building on the first Richard Quinn edition for a deeper, more mature character. The nose offers mango and banana, vanilla fudge, cinnamon and a hint of roasted chestnuts. The palate is rich and fruity, with strawberry jam, pear, peach and honey blossom, balanced by oak spice and a wisp of sweet smoke. The finish is smooth, with a lingering trace of smoke.
