Royal Salute 21 Years Old is a blended Scotch whisky from Chivas Brothers, bottled at 40% in a 70cl garnet-coloured bottle.
The nose is rich, with ripe pears, orange marmalade and raisins, alongside autumn flowers, vanilla and toasted caramel, with a very faint touch of peat smoke and old oak. The palate is silky and creamy, with dark chocolate, golden honey, baked apples and toasted hazelnuts, moving to ginger and cinnamon. The finish is long and warm, dry, with sweet spice and well-integrated oak.
